It says to decrease 20 times to get to the decrease number. However after 10 decrease rows I have reached 42 stitches. I am knitting size medium. Has anyone else found this error?
a year ago1 AnswerA: From the pattern: Shape Back Bind off 6 (7, 9, 13, 14) sts at beginning next 2 rows – 42 (54, 64, 96, 126) sts. Decrease Row (Right Side): Skp, knit to last 2 sts, k2tog. Repeat Decrease Row every other row 14 (16, 20, 28, 34) times – 12 (20, 22, 38, 56) sts. Slip sts to a stitch holder for Edging. So based on above instruction: You will end the Shaping of the back before the decreases with 64 stitches. You work one decrease row - 62 stitches. Then you Decrease every other row twenty more times (40 rows) And then you will have 22 stitches in total.
